DEAD TO THIS WORLD, ALIVE IN CHRIST MEANING.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

The apostle Paul wrote these two verses of the Bible. He was a very educated, zealous, proud, Jewish lawyer and legalist. He gave up his position, his influence and his wealth, power and control, and everything he believed in, and his whole way of life to follow Jesus. He left his whole world in his past, and became a slave to Christ, which ultimately set him free.

My question for myself, and for you is, what part of the world have I not left and forsaken for Christ? Are the two verses above a 100% description of me? Am I now dedicated to living by faith in the Son of God, who gave Himself for me? Should I live my life with less dedication to Christ than He had for me? Am I now completely dead to my old life, thinking and habits, and alive only to Christ? Am I a completely new creation? Have I told Him “NO” to anything? Believers need to continually ask the Lord to show us what we need to change, how we need to grow and what part of my old life still needs to go. We need to remain in Him, and in His Word, and continually under His control every minute of our lives.

    1. Thank you for your kind words. The Lord has taught me a lot through difficulties in my life. I only hope that I can help others heal and grow in their relationship with Christ. Maybe you will tell others about this blog and my book Discover Victory in the Meaning of Your Life. If you don’t mind, from where are you located?
